After the incident in Ryli, the party returns to COJ and immediately runs into Fleury.
(Fleury, you've heard a buzz about an incident that happened in another town. Not a lot of details have come out but you know it wasn't good.)

Miragil says to Fleury,
"We arrived at Ryli to discover the town deserted and their temple under siege by undead, wolves and a bugbear. After we cleared the temple we found a townsperson alive with his wife badly injured. He told us the rest of the townspeople had managed to take refuge in a nearby cave."
"We delivered the aid package sent by the Church of Jörd, took part in a celebration feast with the town, and bedded down for the night just outside of town."
"During the night we woke up to screams from the town and discovered what appeared to be a type of impenetrable barrier around the town with creatures from the depths of hell making short work of the townsfolk within."
"We do not know if the attack came before, after, or as result of the town opening the aid package from the Church of Jörd."

"Interesting, no survivers I'm guessing"
"Well this only adds more doubt surrounding the churches dealings we should try to find out more"

Roll streetwise and thievery check then I'll message you what you've found out! Add your normal stats for boosts. Divide what you get by 2 and this is the general idea:
1-10: No real information 11-20: Will give you some details, maybe a name. 21-30: Will give you more details, and a name.

Streetwise Roll 4 + 1 = 5 Thievery Roll 12 + 10 = 22
5+22 = 27/2 = 13.5
I think thats what you wanted..... Shitty Streetwise roll but my Thievery kept me above water~!

I have skill training in religion. Although I'm unsure if what we need is insight into the actual religion of the Church of Jörd the character builder states " Make a religion check to remember a useful bit of religious knowledge or to recognize a religion-related clue." Can't hurt to try - my skill is 11 ...
My roll is 1d20 --> 6 + 11 = 17 total on a religion check

*Fleury gathers who he can and tells them what he was able to find out about the Church during their absence from Jord...
"While most of you were away at Ryli, I tried to get close to the CoJ Church with out being noticed."
"I was able to get some information but not a lot, the Church has many safe guards in place and the security is tight."
"I did however find a common name that came up, Baldemar. He has been mentioned a lot lately in both reports and conversations with the leaders within the Church. Not sure who this guy is or his involvement, yet"
"Also this might just be nothing but, some young church acolytes also thought that the church was falling apart due to the recent natural deaths of some Bishops but all seems fine within the church."
"Also, I've found some copies of contracts stating that they've recently acquired the use of some former mercenaries to further the will of the church. To my understanding some members were uneasy about it but it seems they're doing very small tasks mostly guarding people of interest and assisting in spreading the faith."
"I still think there is more to it, but Baldemar seems to be the key"

Locke
"This deception and cloak and shadows is not for me.. Fleury, you have Miragil and myself who are learned in the Church and it's past. Let us know if there are anything we can help with."

Fleury
"Not sure where to go from here and whether the Church fully invovled or maybe it's only Baldemar acting on his own. It is plausable that he is using the Church and his authority within to act out his plans. Only time will tell that or we get more clues"
"I suggest everyone keep your eyes and ears open for anything that may suggest otherwise. Don't trust anyone outside our group. We only have eachother here on out."
Fleury suggests to the group they prepare for their next task as he hands everyone a report which states to locate an individual by the name of Tess.

The report has the seal of Lord Brennan.. Gorbash's grandfather. If Jaja read the forums he would roleplay at this point.. However, he does not. Gorbash is there in the group at the time so he would notice and say something.
