*** UPGRADE PROCEDURE TIP *** How to Successfully Complete the Samsung Captivate Software Upgrade If you’ve had some difficulty in assisting customers with the Samsung Captivate Android 2.2 (Froyo) upgrade procedures, please see the important note below. In order to successfully complete the upgrade, you or your customer must ensure that: Any previous version of the Samsung Kies software is uninstalled from the user’s computer Samsung Kies version Kies_2.0.0.11014_49_2 or later (available on Samsung’s website here www.samsung.com/ca/consumer/mobile/mobile-phones/all-phones/SGH-I896ZKARWC/index.idx?pagetype=prd_detail&tab=support) must be downloaded and installed Microsoft .NET framework 4.0 or higher must be installed The Kies program must be run as an administrator For full upgrade information on the upgrade and its benefits please refer to bulletin NDP 2011-01-15 or refer customers to www.samsung.com/androidupgrade.
